I’m sure there are comic book fans out there who will cringe while reading this review. For that, I apologize now and suggest that you read no further. If you’ve read my reviews of “The Hulk” or “X2” then you’re probably aware of the fact that I don’t read comic books. Nothing personal, they’ve just never drawn my interest. In fact, my knowledge of comic books is so limited that I didn’t know – prior to reading all the production notes – that “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen” was even based on a comic. So if you’re looking for a review that compares the two media, I’m going to gently suggest looking elsewhere. Go now before it’s too late. Gentle enough?

Enter the Dragon revolves around the three main characters. Lee, a man recruited by an agency to investigate a tournament hosted by Han, since they believe he has an Opium trade there. Roper and Williams are former army buddies since Vietnam and they enter the tournament due to different problems that they have. Roper is on the run from the Mafia due to his gambling debts, while Williams is harassed by racist police officers and defends himself from them and uses the car for his getaway. There’s a secret war being waged in the homes and neighborhoods of Earth that the humans don’t even know about; an eternal struggle between two great armies: the Cats and the Dogs. The film follows a Cat’s plan to destroy a new vaccine, that if developed, would destroy all human allergies to Dogs, and the Dogs’ efforts to stop the Cats. Specifically, it’s the story of a young pup (Tobey Maguire) whose job it is to guard the vaccine. Other dogs include a wise older dog who watches out for him (Susan Sarandon), a large friendly dog (Michael Clarke Duncan), and a small dog who serves as an electronics expert (Joe Pantoliano).
