It’s the weekend, and five students have weekend detention. There’s a jock, a princess, a misfit, a nerd, and a lout. Not much in common, except for having to give up their day, sit in the school library, and write an essay for the principal. Being from such widely different backgrounds and having such completely different personalities, it’s inevitable that some frictions and shenanigans develop. Wealthy teenager Charlie Bartlett is failing miserably at fitting in at a new public high school run by the world-weary Principal Gardner. As he begins to better understand the social hierarchy, Charlie’s honest charm and likability positions him as the resident “psychiatrist” dishing out advice, and the occasional prescription with his partner and fellow student, Murphy Bivens, to other students in need. Along the way, he decides to take some of his own advice, find romance, and learn to accept who he is, thus wielding a witty dark comedy about the angst-filled years before college. Armed with the knowledge “Mean Girls” was scripted by Tina Fey, “Saturday Night Live’s” head writer and one half of the team that brought “SNL’s” Weekend Update skits back to life, I was really looking forward to a sharply written, tell-it-like-it-is, teen movie. And while parts of it were as good as I expected, it didn’t quite have the bite to it I associate with Fey’s writing style.

Rocky Balboa (Stallone) has finally beaten Apollo Creed (Weathers), and feels that he has nothing left to achieve. He plans to retire. Boxing brawler Clubber Lang (Mr. T) becomes the Number 1 Contender, and wants his match with Balboa. Rocky is reluctant at first, but finally agrees to take on Clubber Lang. But things go from bad to worse, where Rocky’s manager Micky (Meredith) unfortunately dies. Rocky must now train with his former opponent, Creed. The movie starts as a car has a hard time driving straight down the road in a residential area. We think some kid has stolen this car. Nah. It’s the dad driving his son to school, and he’s drunk. The teenage son must take over. So, adults give up all responsibility towards their children and mayhem can take place. The film shows one day in the life of several teenage students as they go in and out of classes. They live their student lives and we follow their steps through the corridors and doors, taking them as guides one by one, like avatars in a giant video game. Written by Khandoma

At 8 years old, the blonde Samantha Montgomery lost her father to an earthquake, leaving her to live in an attic, while her stepmother Fiona, and stepsisters, Gabriella and Brianna take over her life. With popular kids Austin Ames, Shleby Cummings, and their crew, then her house family, the only escapes she has are the Diner Staff, her best friend Carter, and an online buddy-Nomad. They both go to North Valley High and dream of going to Princeton. They have a relationship that goes on through text messages and emails. He finally asks her to the Halloween dance, where they meet, and she finds out Austin is Nomad. Not knowing who his ‘Cinderella‘ is, he goes on one of the toughest quests ever, as Sam’s friends convince her to tell him. He finds out at a more than humiliating pep rally that Cincerella is ‘Diner Girl’. She finally tells off her steps, and she manages to tell off Austin.
