Those so young they need to be read the Dr Seuss books and those old enough to have read first editions as kids should equally enjoy this engaging, hilarious, and heartfelt tale of an elephant who hears Whos. Directed by Jimmy Hayward and Steve Martino from a screenplay by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio, the classic Dr Seuss tale springs to life on the big screen using a color palette so vibrant you may feel the urge to don a pair of shades. Although the animation itself isn’t groundbreaking in its technique, it is perfectly in keeping with the tone and style of Dr Seuss’ work.

The Rock emerges as a viable action movie star with his role as a bounty hunter on the verge of retirement in Peter Berg’s action comedy “The Rundown.” Expectations weren’t exactly high after his starring turn in the critically panned prequel to “The Mummy,” “The Scorpion King.” But under Peter Berg’s direction in “The Rundown,” The Rock is able to show off a decent set of acting chops. Even more surprising is the fact that even when he’s not kicking some bad guy’s butt, he’s still extremely believable and entertaining to watch. Believe it or not, after “The Rundown,” you can now add drama and comedy to the list of genres The Rock is capable of tackling.

Bartertown is a city on the edge of a desert that has managed to retain some technology if no civilization. Max has his supplies stolen and must seek shelter there in a post apocalypse world where all machines have begun to break down and barbarians hold what is left. He becomes involved in a power struggle in this third Mad Max film where he must first survive the town, survive the desert and then rescue the innocent children he has discovered. This takes them to an idyllic island on the way to Bali where they vie with each other for the favours of Princess Lala.
