He tries to get into the gang by letting an ex-drug addict infiltrate them, but the trial fails miserably. The only thing that remains is that Scotty himself becomes a drug pusher. Audiences just aren’t buying into ‘war’ movies these days and so Charlie Wilson’s War seems to be attempting to set itself apart from the pack by focusing more on comedy than drama, more on sex and drugs (but, sadly, no rock ‘n roll) rather than action and war. The approach works well for this film, which is based on fantastical but true events. Charlie Wilson’s War’s lighthearted take makes the serious subject matter a lot more palatable.

GOODBYE BAFANA is the true story of a white South African racist whose life was profoundly altered by the black prisoner he guarded for twenty years. The prisoner’s name was Nelson Mandela.

In rural Texas, welder and hunter Llewelyn Moss discovers the remains of several drug runners who have all killed each other in an exchange gone violently wrong. Rather than report the discovery to the police, Moss decides to simply take the two million dollars present for himself. This puts the psychopathic killer, Anton Chigurh, on his trail as he dispassionately murders nearly every rival, bystander and even employer in his pursuit of his quarry and the money. As Moss desperately attempts to keep one step ahead, the blood from this hunt begins to flow behind him with relentlessly growing intensity as Chigurh closes in.
