Sometimes the only thing you can say after watching a movie is, “Wow.” Wow – as in what a colossal waste of time and what in the world were they thinking? “Wow” is usually followed closely by, “Why.” Why – as in why did they make this thing and why did I let them sucker me into driving to a theater to watch it?

The Football Factory is more than just a study of the English obsession with football violence, its about men looking for armies to join, wars to fight and places to belong. A forgotten culture of Anglo Saxon males fed up with being told they’re not good enough and using thier fists as a drug they describe as being more potent than sex and drugs put together. Shot in documentery style with the energy and vibrancy of handheld, The Football Factory is frightingly real yet full of painful humour as the four characters extreme thoughts and actions unfold before us. Forbidden Warrior is structured loosely on a popular Asian myth. The story concerns Seki (Marie Matiko), an attractive woman who discovers that she can utilize an ancient book of spells in order to accomplish just about anything. She must master these spells before the book falls into the hands of those who mean to do some serious damage with it.

The trailer for “The Forgotten” gives too much away and that’s a shame. The less you know going in, the better. It’s tough to thrill audiences when the plot is totally laid out in advance. All the anticipation is ripped away when the best scenes from the film are played over and over again on TV and on the Internet. With “The Forgotten,” knowing too much going in ruins the enjoyment you might have gotten out of the moviegoing experience.

Andrew Largeman is a semi-successful television actor who plays a retarded quarterback. His somewhat controlling and psychiatrist father has led Andrew (”Large”) to believe that his mother’s wheelchair bound life was his fault. Andrew decides to lay off the drugs that his father and his doctor made him believe that he needed, and began to see life for what it is. Even before seeing “Garfield” I couldn’t help but wonder what demographic the studio was hoping to reach. After watching the film, I was still left wondering who the target audience for this movie really is. Do kids know much about the lasagna-loving feline or would this movie have been more likely to have found its audience had it been released 10 years ago as opposed to today? Garfield was extremely popular a decade ago, but I can’t recall the last time I heard someone mention the comic strip in the past few years. There must be an audience for the wisecracking cat as the strip is still carried in 2,600 newspapers around the world, yet I can’t help but feel it’s long past its prime as far as attracting an audience willing to fork over $10 to catch it on the big screen.

Romanian village was under siege by the carnivore gargoyle long time ago, but fortunately the inhabitants engraved the monster into the tough tomb. Nowadays the tomb is wrecked by an earthquake and the evil breaks loose.
