There she meets a whole new bunch of friends and they set off to rescue the Scarecrow from an evil Gnome King who has found her Ruby Slippers and has used them to lay waste to the Emerald city and take over Oz. Don’t let the trailers and video clips fool you. “Robots” isn’t just a goofy kids movie. The trailers don’t begin to do justice to this deliciously entertaining, wildly energetic animated film. Even without the many recognizable names in the voice cast (Ewan McGregor, Robin Williams, and Halle Berry are just a sampling of the stars who contribute their voices), “Robots” would be a must-see for those who are looking for a little escapism via the movies.

Sam the snowman tells us the story of a young red-nosed reindeer who, after being ousted from the reindeer games because of his beaming honker, teams up with Hermey, an elf who wants to be a dentist, and Yukon Cornelius, the prospector. They run into the Abominable Snowman and find a whole island of misfit toys. Rudoph vows to see if he can get Santa to help the toys, and he goes back to the North Pole on Christmas Eve.
