When a favored horse loses an Australian race under suspicious circumstances, the sportsman-owner, a friend of Charlie’s, returns to the States with the thoroughbred via steamship. After he is found kicked to death in the horse’s stall, Chan investigates when the liner stops off in Honolulu and discovers evidence of foul play.
